Elizabeth Hogan Obituary

Elizabeth "Betty" Geraldine Hogan

Our beloved mom passed away peacefully in our home on June 8,

2018 surrounded by her family. She was 93 years old.

She was born on February 2nd 1925 to Florence and William Schroeder in Dubuque, Iowa and was raised in Hecla, South Dakota. She moved to Seattle in 1943 when she was 18 years old and worked at Immigration for 19 years. She volunteered at the Catholic Seaman's Club and met our dad there. She married John "Jack" Bartlett Hogan in 1960. They settled in North Seattle and raised 3 children.

She is survived by her children, Joseph (Lucas, Claudia, & Noah), Tim (Liam), Annie/Claudio (Andre & Alexa).

She was a devout Catholic, and she and our dad spent 20 years volunteering for St. Vincent de Paul. She had a kind spirit, was gracious, full of life and laughter, and a pleasure to be around.

We are blessed and grateful to have had her as our mom. She will be greatly missed.

A mass dedicated to her will be held Friday, June 29th at the

12:10 pm daily mass at

Sacred Heart of Jesus Parish

205 2nd Ave N, Seattle 98109
