I am honored and blessed to have great memories with Gordy. I met Gordy through Gordy knowing my dad. We met pheasant hunting in White Swan on Gailand Hinds land , incredibly nice farmer of alfalfa and sugar beets at the 1970's years and many more prior and after years . A great man with great family. Gailand with happiness would tell us when he was farming where he had seen a lot of pheasant. Gordy A great hunter and outdoorsman. Very kind and strong. In later years we became chukar ,some Hungarian partridge , pheasant and waterfowl hunting buddies ; also one hunt to Montana with Dr. William Schumacher and my Dad; and meeting up with the McConnell family in Montana. A great Montana hunt . When older we got to go upland bird hunting for chukar, pheasant and waterfowl. The greatest memory is on a chukar hunt in the Colockum Wildlife Area north of the Quilomene area that we hunted also . We would hunt incredible coveys of chukar , see elk ,mule deer, Big Horn Sheep. We took our break at the ridge of the Columbia River for water break with a healthy snack, with our feet over the ridge; and talk and Gordy was a mentor and great friend . On this hunt he told me about how he and his teammates from years prior with the Washington Huskies with very little time left in the game . Everything flowed just right and he helped win the game. The fans on their feet with a positive uproar and his teammates put him on their shoulders. One of his best moments and memory. When we were talking about life and sports . He had a smiling happy face, his head went a little to the right and came back and you could tell it was a phenomenal moment in sports in his life (incredible) 40-50 years prior at that time . "The Last Minute Kid" ! During any times now or in your future , up or down any direction; remember your time God blessed you with Gordy and you'll be smiling with happiness.

Gordy was an incredible friend and mentor . We chukar hunted together and when we reached the half way area at the ridge of the Columbia River we would take a break . On one of the moments he told me about the game where he was a major part of the University of Washington Huskies Football Team winning the game with very little time left on the game clock. The football fans volume became good and loud and his teammates put him on their shoulders , the Huskies won the game . That is just a short version of one of his great explained moments ; in his great life . God Bless Gordy , his family and friends and everyone in his life . Love , Peace and Calm Joy . Renew and refresh from anything of the negative that comes into life and have and keep the Holy Spirit of Jesus Christ within . Life is a gift.

Julie and Family,
I want to express my heartfelt sympathy for your loss. Gordon was always so very kind to me. He was a warm and caring man and in this world of "money first" dental professionals he was of the old school that put patients first. I enjoyed having the pleasure of knowing him as long as I did.

To the Family of Gordy Hungar..Gordy was a wonderful person and dentist. A class act, and one of the best leaders of our Snohomish County Dental Society for the last fifty years. I had the priviledge of traveling to several Washington State Dental Legislative sessions with him, and enjoyed talking Husky football with him. He was a joy with an infectious spirit to be around at our dental meetings. I am a three-generation Cougar, but loved and respected Gordy as a great Husky! With my deepest sympathy.. Dr Lee Hudson

I was so sad to hear about Dr. Hungar. I worked for him as a Dental Asst. in the 70's for 4 years. I got the word of his passing from another Asst. who worked with us in his office when I did. She and I have stayed in contact all these years. I will be in Washington Thursday so hope to attend the Celebration of his Life. I have a memory of working with Dr. Hungar, it was 1977 and he told all his patients when Elvis died not to mind the girl's in the office for they were all in morning cause Elvis just past away. We were all Elvis Fans who worked for him. To Cute! He was a great man and great dentist and we all learned so much from him!!!
We will keep his family is in our thought's and prayer's.
He will be truly missed!

Hi, Julie & Family,
Dad is in eastern Washington fishing this week, and he read about Gordon's passing in the newspaper he brought with him. I'm so sorry that Gordon passed so quickly. Mom reminded me that 81 isn't old!! I think that Julie & Gordon have been mentioned to me since before I was born. Our families do go a long way back and everytime I drive past Mt. Vernon, I think of Julie's parents. I will be traveling to Massachusetts next week, so I won't be able to attend the Memorial Service, but Mom & Dad will be there.
All our love & support go out to all of your family.

Dear Julie and family,
I was saddened to hear of Gordon's passing. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
I remember the first time I ever encountered "Dr. Hungar". I was just a small girl, who had been frightened beyond belief by my previous dentist (drilling without anesthetic, etc...) when my dad, Bob Wick, insisted that I see his dentist, Dr. Hungar, instead. The first thought that came to my mind when I saw him was "...how is he ever going to get more than 2 fingers in my mouth?! His hands are huge!..."
I never felt any fear or undue discomfort when I was under his care. Thanks to him and his staff, I've been comfortable in the dentist's chair ever since.
His gentleness and humor (my, but he had a distinctive and booming voice, didn't he?!) will be forever in my conscious memory.
Our deepest sympathies,
Jerry/Eva Fader

Julie and family,
It was such a shock to read of your beloved husband's and father's passing. He was a wonderful dentist and certainly kept us functioning well.
When I (Jerry) took a header on the bicycle and knocked out five teeth, Gordon made a 7-tooth bridge that he thought would last for 10 years. It lasted for 20. That shows what a craftsman he was in dentistry.
He was a great friend to everyone as well and he will be missed by everyone. Our heartfelt sympathy to you all.
