Grace Langley Obituary

Grace Elaine Langley

Grace Elaine Langley, age 86, of Bellevue, Washington died peacefully at her home on July 20, 2016 at 9:42 pm. In spite of a nine year struggle with Alzheimer's, she was smiling at every face in the room throughout her last few days. Grace served as an R.N. for many years, but was most known for her loving kindness towards anyone in need, organizing the church food pantry for many years, and working at local health clinics. As a young nurse, Grace married the love of her life, Ernest M. Langley, and together they shared 62 years of happiness. Grace is survived by her husband, five grateful children, 11 grandchildren, and four great grandchildren.

There will be a private graveside service for immediate family members at the Tahoma National Cemetery. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held on Tuesday, July 26th at 2:00 pm at the Bellevue Neighborhood Church.

It was my pleasure to care for Grace for the last three and a half years. I was her caregiver. She was always smiling, and loved to walk daily. I will always treasure the time I spent with her. Most of all I will remember a woman who was sweet, gentle and caring. A lady who had a strong will. She did her best everyday to fight Alzheimer's.
She was a brave woman when the odds were against her. In the end she turned to me and whispered thank you before taking her last breath. This I will treasure most of all. She was a sister in faith and a loving friend.
