Gwen Smith Obituary
June 8, 1935 ~ April 9, 2017
Gwen passed away on the morning of Palm Sunday peacefully due to complications from Congestive Heart Failure. She was a resident of the Renton, WA area for the last 50 years.
Gwen was born in North Platte, NE. Her family later relocated to Wheat Ridge, Colorado, where she met the love of her life, Francis R. "Bus" Smith, to whom she was married for 50 years. They moved to Washington State to work for Boeing.
Her son, Martin, and her daughter, Diane, survive her along with their spouses, Debbie and Mel. Gwen is also survived by her grandchildren and step-grandchildren: Aaron, and his wife, Shelbi; Nathan; Jordan; Stephan; Sarah, and her fiance;e, Cole; along with, Nikki, and her husband, Drew; and Shelby.
Memorial Service to be held Saturday April 22nd, at 2:00PM at Kent Covenant Church. 12010 SE 240th St, Kent, WA 98031
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Kent Covenant Church memorial fund.

Met Gwen and Buss through my friend Wilma Rucker. Then attended the First Evangelical Presbyterian Church of Renton with them. Buss and Gwen were so very generous and caring allowing Wilma and a group of friends to enjoy their Whidby Island Cottage many many times. Praying for her family members as they work through their loss . Thankful she is home with her Heavenly Father and her beloved Buss. Tanya Salvino.

I worked with Gwen at BCS in the 1980's, and always enjoyed her so much. She was a lovely woman, kind and thoughtful, and a great employee. I'm sure her family and friends will miss her dearly.

A bright light has ceased to shine in this world and gone on to the next. Gwen was beloved by all who knew her and will be missed so very much, as was her husband, Buss. Rest in peace, my dear friend. This world is a poorer place.
