Howard Swerland Obituary
Howard Spencer Swerland, 71, born in Spokane, February 19, 1942, passed away March 26th with his family at his side. Howard was a commercial real estate broker in Seattle. Howard had many hobbies including award winning photography, cooking and fly fishing, but his family always came first. We will deeply miss Howard's indomitable spirit and positive approach to life.
Howard is survived by his lifelong partner and loving wife Kathy of forty-seven years, and daughters Kim (Eric) Zabiegalski, of Chesapeake, Maryland, Gina (Paul) Lyon, Seattle, and Portia (Mike) Morgan, Seattle, as well as eight grandchildren, Anthony and Shayna Zabiegalski, Chaz and Brandon Morgan, Jerremy Sage, Sydnee, Madison and Spencer Lyon, brothers Doug (Shelley) Swerland and Mark Swerland (Patricia O'Brien) and a nephew Scott Swerland, niece Shauna Swerland Youssefnia (David) and nephews, Jordan and Ryan Swerland.
A celebration of Howard's life will be held at Newport Yacht Club, 81 Skagit Key, Bellevue, WA on Monday, April 1st. at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family suggests remembrances to the Northwest Kidney Center/Lake Wash. Kidney Center 1474 112th Ave. N.E., Bellevue, WA 98004 or to a charity of your choice.

I knew Howard a long, long time ago. He was a straight up guy and he made me laugh. He and Kathy were always kind and loving people. I am sure his family will miss him. Best to all of them, Jean Swenson
