I was so sorry to learn of your father's passing. Of all my dad's friends, I liked Irv the best. He was so friendly and decent to me when I was a youngster. I never forgot his kindness. Please accept my heartfelt sympathy.

Mr and Mrs Carlin were daily customers of ours at First Hill Starbucks. I had the pleasure to connect with them almost every day for over 8 years. Mr Carlin was incredibly kind, and the graciousness and quick wit of them both always brightened my day. I am sad to hear of Mr Carlin's passing, and want to send best wishes to Mrs Carlin. You are both in my thoughts and prayers.

Susan and I extend our heartfelt sympathies to Olga, Jeffrey, Mark and their children. We have fond memories of Irving. He was a loving nephew of my parents Florence and Bill Lenner. He truly was an inspiration to all who were fortunate to have known him. May he Rest In Peace.
Sincerely,
Dennis Lenner

When I was about nine, I was hitting a golf ball around at Nassakeag one weekend and broke a window. My mother made me go see Mr. Carlin Monday morning and give him three dollars for the window. I was shaking in my shoes! He took the money and told me to be more careful next time.
I couldn't have asked for a better elementary school, thanks to him. RIP
