I can't even begin to put to words how much you and your love meant to me Karin. You are the mother I always wanted and the best friend a boy could have needed. Thirty five years ago, what happened to that farm, goats and cookies??? Always in my heart my love.

Aunt Karin was always fun to visit with. She was unique all the way to her voice. She was incredibly sweet to me and could always put a smile on your face with her humor. Thank you for the laughs and warm memories, you will be missed.

Oh were do I began,,, I met Melissa when we were in middle school, then she took me home to her house and that is where I met Karen! Karen welcomed me as part of the family, and there I have remained as part of the family.. she always called me the "weekend kid " cause I was there every weekend. And she would have Melissa share her allowance with me. Witch I think kinda would upset Melissa back then .. haha
I have a daughter and she would call Karen grandma ma too..
She will be super missed by all... What I will miss the most is how drama she could be,,she could alway make me smile... I feel deep sorrow for the family. She was good lady and very nice ... I love U Karen!

Karin welcomed me into the extended family and I appreciated her bluntness and honesty. I always knew she was a real person. The occasional visits and meals at their house was hospitable with lively conversation. May you all find comfort remembering her life and feel the freedom to grieve her death.

I was blessed to know Karin for several years and be a part of her family. As a few have mentioned here, I always enjoyed her humor. I also miss her "quirks". The paper all HAD o be the same on the presents under the tree and only certain types of ornaments on the tree as well. :) She will be missed but never forgotten. All my love to the family.

How Karin managed to have the most perfect fingernails and still do the most incredible fine shadow embroidery, amazed any person familiar with hand stitching. I first met Karin in Huntsville, AL at a hand embroidery school. She should have been teaching it but was still at a stage where she didn't quite trust her own work. Her designs were fabulous, no wonder so many publications wanted her work in their magazines! If she had not been so darn afraid of flying, she could have gone to Australia to teach as a special guest in a most prestigious academy.
Can't think of Karin without mentioning her dry sense of humor. She could have been in show biz with her timing being so perfect! While I'm laughing myself crazy at one of her remarks, there she'd be, playing the straight man! She was very observant of human nature and how people behaved. I do think her humor got her through these very difficult months.
My dear friend I will miss you always. I will think of you every stitch I take and remember what you taught me.
To her wonderful family...how proud those of us who observed your compassion and caring for Karin...you did a wonderful job in a most difficult time in your life. And a special recognition to Mike, her dedicated husband. It will be hard without her, I'm sure. Just know you did absolutely everything you could for Karin...and she knew it, too.
Say hi to your Mom from me. I know you are with her now.

Karin was a wonderful person and our neighbor in West Seattle for many years. She could see the humor in almost everything...she was so funny! Karin was also a wonderful cook besides a talented seamstress. Our love and blessings to the family.

Thank you for all you did for me, as a little girl and later as an adult. The river will never quite be the same but your spirit will always be here and so you are not really far that far away...
Hugs... Love Lianne
