Kenneth A. Rogstad

Kenneth A. ROGSTAD September 1, 1929 - March 17, 2005 The son of Adolph and Elsie Rogstad, both had immigrated from Norway in the early 1900s. Ken grew up in Los Angeles and lived there until, at 17, he enlisted in the Army. He spent four years in the Signal Corp, mostly in Alaska. He is survived by his wife Doris; sons Eric of Beaverton, OR, Keith (Jane) of Bellevue, Alan of Seattle; and daughter Janette Lowe (Barry) of Newport Beach, CA. Survivors also include four beloved grandsons, Jonathan, Aaron, Dirk and Nickolas; three sisters and a brother and many nieces, nephews and friends. Ken was a U of W graduate in electrical engineering. His interests were many and varied. He loved music, boating (he was a life member of Queen City Yacht Club) and politics, serving six years as chairman of the King County Republican Party. Many lives were touched by his generosity, wisdom and insight. He will be greatly missed. Memorial Service will be held Saturday, 2:00 p.m., April 2nd, at Faith Lutheran Church, 8208 18th NE, Seattle, WA.
