Maxwell Shinn Obituary

Maxwell H. SHINN 80, of Yakima died Saturday. Mr. Shinn, RET Captain USN, was born, raised and educated in Spokane. His Navy & Boeing Pilot career extended over 40 years. Following retirement, he moved to Yakima from Issaquah, Washington, operating "Shinn Orchards" for 20 years. Survivors include his wife, Grace E. Shinn of Yakima; a brother, Frank Shinn of Moses Lake; six sons and two daughters: Maxwell Jr. & Bill Shinn of Yakima, Ginny Uno of Snoqualmie, Joanie Neumayer of Redondo Beach, California, Rick Shinn of White Salmon, Mark Shinn of Newcastle, Mike D. Shinn of Issaquah, & Patrick of Carnation. He is preceded in death by youngest son, Robert of Yakima. Survivors: 17 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Viewing will be Thursday & Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. at Keith & Keith Funeral Home, Yakima. Recitation of the rosary will be 6 p.m. Friday at Keith & Keith. A Memorial Service will be held Saturday at 4 p.m., Keith & Keith. Burial, with Military Honors, will be Monday at 10 a.m. Terrace Heights Memorial Park
