On behalf of Michel's Executive MBA students in China, here are their loving messages and condolences to their beloved professor (in Mandarin). A warm thanks to Elodie XU, with whom Michel and I worked in China for several years, for sending me this. I believe it would touch Michel's heart. Kristen Neymarc

Michael, (If this is a duplicate, I can't tell if my first message was posted) Sorry to hear about Michel's passing. I always enjoyed having you two visit my office. He always had a smile and happy mood about him. The students loved him

My eyes and my ears in those first difficult years at HEC - and after that, a decade and a half of close friendship. Hard to fathom that someone so vibrant and alive, so full of wit and elemental joy could be gone . . .

My wife, Susan, and I were fortunate to have shared dinner with Michel and Michael at our Tuck reunion. He was a good friend at Tuck with a wonderful sense of humor and a larger than life personality. We will miss him.

I am saddened to learn of Michel's unexpected death but I am now happy that I was able to sit with Michel and Michael at our Tuck School reunion in October and share many stories of our experiences over the past 50 years. He was an excellent scholar and teacher and a true gentleman -- we are all blessed to have been able to share a slice of our life with him.

What a beautiful obituary, and exceptional man. I'm sorry I never met him! May the profound shock and sadness that you feel now at losing him be slowly replaced by gratitude for the richness and love he brought to your life.

Michel, with his wonderful wife, Michael, made the kind of couple that light up a room, just by being there. Among friends in France, where most of lived the expat life, we all shared learning, sharing, our love of good food and drink, and friendship. Michel touched everybody he met in a special, memorable way. My heart goes out to dear Michael and the rest of Michel's family. While always painful, the loss was intensified due to being sudden and totally unexpected. Love, and God's blessings, Carol

Dear Michael, Tracey and I, Steve, offer our condolences. Michel's intonation of the 'primordial syllable' OM at the end of yoga class remains in my memory. Tracey and I send our sympathies and good wishes to you.
