We miss Nan, so much. There was no one like her

I miss my dear friend, Nan. We used to love to toot around in the car, stopping for Pizza on occasion, getting ice cream cones at Baskin and Robbins, chatting for an hour at Tully's coffee shop on Points Drive, where we talked about the joys of reading Emerson and other fine authors. One of the things most notable about Nan was her radiant smile: how I miss it. I believe that most of us who know her truly loved her, and that, too, made her happy,

Lots of love to Ginny and Dan and their children. Nan was a lifetime friend, and I know she is living on in the thoughts and hearts of so many friends and admirers. "I know no life divided, o Lord of Life, from Thee" from a Christian Science hymn

Dan,
I heard of your mother's passing from Carolyn, and do extend my sympathy to you and your sister. It was long ago, and we often regret not having kept in contact. But I remember fondly the soccer days and conversations with Nancy. I am glad that Brian could reach you.
All my best, Vernon Threlkeld

It has been a long time since I saw Nancy, but I have so many good memories of her from my childhood. Her son Dan and I were youth soccer teammates from the late '60s to the mid-70's, and our families were close until we left for college. Nancy was warm and generous, and a wonderful host the countless times I stayed over there.

Nothing can make this any less a heartbreak, but I am glad that Nancy shared a richly deserved long life with her family. And I hope there is some solace for her family in knowing that many friends deeply cherish the memories of her.
