Natalie Riehl Obituary

Natalie Jeanne RIEHL Born July 16, 1934 in Toronto, Ontario, Natalie died peacefully at her home in Kirkland on May 19, 2007 after a courageous battle with cancer. At the time of her death, she was a manager at a software development firm in Bellevue. Natalie was a life force who enjoyed working full-time and was an incredible asset to the company. In her spare time, she enjoyed art, wine and hosting dinner parties. She loved to travel and made friends wherever she went. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed by all. The world is a much sadder place without her whip-smart wit and go-getter attitude. Natalie is survived by her son, Michael Murray of Surrey, BC; her brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Marie Clark, of Belwood, Ontario; and her adored pets, Pergo and Henry. Natalie so loved her furry friends and donated generously to animal causes. In lieu of flowers, you can make a donation in her name to Pasado's Safe Haven, P.O. Box 171, Sultan, WA 98294 or go to www.pasadosafehaven.org. We thank all her wonderful friends, co-workers, and caregivers who were there for her these last few months. At Natalie's request, no services will be held. She will be laid to rest with her mother and father in Canada.

I was trying to make contact with Natalie last week, so I just heard this very sad news. I'm so very sorry. I knew Natalie for many years. I had many, many good times with Natalie. She had such a pure and good heart and she was very generous to her friends and to animals. This is a sad day for me. I will keep her son, brother & family in my thoughts and prayers.
take care,

The comfort of having a friend may be taken away, but not that of having had one. ~Seneca

Natalie was a dear friend and I will miss her very much. She was a well traveled, well read person who knew a little of just about everything. She loved giving dinner party's and was great at it. She always said "When you are fixing your meal, treat yourself as you would a guest". I dearly miss her, God speed Nat!!

To the Riehl family,

Natalie and I became instant friends due to our love of pets. Her furry friend Brutus passed almost the same time as my dog Rusty. Since than we kept in touch about our animals and goings on by email and pictures.
I am so sorry for your loss and was beside myself at learning of her passing. She will be remembered fondly.
