Patrick Murphy Obituary
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Patrick R. Murphy of Juneau, Alaska on July 1, 2016. Patrick was born the 3rd child of Mark and Patricia Murphy, of Magnolia, on July 26, 1957. Patrick was a 1976 graduate of Queen Anne HS and employed at Western Towboat for over 40 years, most of those years as a Captain.
Patrick is survived by his pride and joy and best bud, his daughter Emma, along with her mother, Melanie Helmick and his siblings and their families, Marcia, R.C., R. L and Marc Quint; Leslie, Chris and Anna von Ravensberg; Mark, Lauren, Erin and Pat Murphy. Along with his cousins in Montana and many good friends in Washington and Alaska.
A celebration of his life will be Saturday July 16th, at 2pm at the Ballard Elks Lodge at 6411 Seaview Avenue, Seattle, WA 98117. We are asking that you send a picture and/or a story or comments about Patrick for a memory book and inclusion in the celebration. Email to [email protected]

Pat was a huge part of my - and all my siblings' - childhood. And even beyond that....I've looked forward to seeing him at Xmas over the years when he would visit his old street, and drop by mom's house during Xmas morning festivities. We were all always SO happy to see him!!
Cannot believe he is gone. I will always remember him laughing, calling me Janie, as only old friends and family do....and just being a good hearted, easy going guy.
He will be very missed.

I was stunned and saddened to learn of Patrick's passing. Such a great guy, he was like family. His arrival at Elliott holiday gatherings, especially Christmas was a tradition we all looked forward to... He simply let himself in and joined the table. How we will all miss him. Condolences to all the Murphys, and especially Emma - how he loved you!
