Peter Reisinger

Peter was born January 23, 1923 in Rheinfelden, Switzerland. At 16 years of age, Dad was getting interested in auto mechanics along with the popularity of automobiles. He studied auto mechanics for 4 years and completed his state exam. At 24 a friend tempted him to visit the United states and he did. He landed in New York in 1947 on a boat and made the cross-country ride with his friend in an old convertible Buick that they purchased. After getting the basics in English he worked a few jobs before getting hired on with Darigold where he worked for over 30 years as a diesel truck fleet mechanic. During his bachelor years he enjoyed singing and loved music and opera. He was featured in the Seattle times as one of three working part time opera singers in the 60's. He continued to sing through out his life with the Swiss, Swedish, and Norwegian male choruses. In 1967 he married his wife Ella of 40 years. They enjoyed golfing, traveling, music, singing, and volunteered at Swedish club in Seattle. Peter showed dedicated care and compassion for his wife Ella during her sickness with Alzheimer's disease until she passed in 2007. They are survived by Hans and Adriane, grandchildren Alex and Kaitlyn (Giancarlo) and great grandchildren Alianna and Gianni. Peter Died January 3, 2019 in the morning peacefully with friends and family.

He will be remembered as a wonderful faithful father, friend, and will be deeply missed.
