I only learned of Mr. Ead's, no matter how often he said to call him Ralph I will always remember him as Mr Eads, passing from Steve Albert a couple of days ago and thought the obit succinctly summed up the man as I knew him during my 8 years working in the USA for Spirax Sarco Pty Ltd.

Mr. Eads was an inspiration to me. Before I joined Eads in 1988 I had the opportunity to see how well run Eads was. It was in a conservative, kind manner that greatly appealed to me. Little did I know that this wonderful man would hire me and that I would be blessed to work at Eads for 26 years. The best parts included getting to know this marvelous man. He was a leader, a father figure and a good friend. My heart goes out to John, Ralph, Carroll, Sarajane and the whole family. Thank you, Chief, for everything! God speed.

I am very sorry to read about the passing of Mr. Eads. He was my boss (along with Bill Adair and Marshall Gettys) when I was only 22 years old. I was hired as the first "girl Friday" when that little company was formed and was at the same location as The Eads Company. He was a wonderful man to work for and I have always held him in high regard, even all these years later. I am now 71 years old and have never forgotten how great it was to work for all three of those true gentlemen.
