Raymond Louie Obituary

Raymond LOUIE Born on March 3, 1944 in Seattle, WA to Harvey and Thelma Louie and passed away unexpectedly on October 10, 2008 at his home in Edgewood, WA. Ray was a quiet man who loved his family and his work. He enjoyed spending time with his animals and was an avid reader. Hunting and golfing with his friends were high on his list of "wonderful things in life". If you ever needed anything and Ray had it within his power, it was done. Ray worked for the same company for over 40 years, and was just beginning semi-retirement. With this transition came a mile long honey-to-do-list, which he would have gotten to in "Chinese" time. Ray's greatest achievement in life, was achieving the status of "beloved" father, husband, brother, son and friend. He is survived by his wife Kimberly, mother Thelma, sister Carolyn, daughter Shawn Jackson (Walter), son James Louie (Laura), eight grandsons, one great-grandson to be born in January of 2009, and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. For the many lives that Ray touched, a celebration of his life will be held on October 18, 2008 at the Best Western Evergreen Suites, located at 32124 - 25th Avenue S., Federal Way, WA 98003 from 2:30 p.m. - 6:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, remembrances can be made to any Children's Hosptial.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you Kim and the Louie family during these trying times. We all knew Ray had a heart of gold and would share his treasure with all who knew him. I will miss his smiling face and look forward to seeing you at the celebration of his life.

Please accept my heartfelt condolences to Uncle Ray's Wife, Kim and family. I am so sorry to have heard the news of Uncle Ray's passing.

To my favorite cousins I so very much miss you both, Shawn, James and their families, my heart goes out to you all and the rest of your families.

Even though it has been several years since we have been in contact, there will always be the good times remembered at the Louie household during all those long babysitting nights with pillow fights (Bonkers).

Uncle Ray will always be remembered.

Love to you all,
Kim (Dunlap) Bach

Please accept my heartfelt condolences to Ray's wife and family. I have known Ray for 20 years. He will always be remembered by me as a thoughtful and considerate person. Those traits are much more important than how much labor you can save at a job to increase bottom lines. I was always impressed with Ray's knowledge. He was a plethora of information in our business and was not bashful in sharing it when you asked. I admired Ray's work ethic and his eye for detail. He was one of the few to contact me and wish me well when I left my company association where he worked. Emerson said: 'Great men, taken up in any way, are very profitable company.' I would place Ray in the great company of friendships I have had over the years. Will miss him.

I wish to express my deepest condolence to the Louie family and friends. I for one, will always value the professional relationship over quite a few years that Ray and I experienced. Ray's professionalism, caring, and supreme ability to seek solution to challenges is a model for all of us having the opportunity to know and work with Ray Louie.
