Raywin Tim Chinn

Raywin Tim Chinn, 47, passed away peacefully at his home Wednesday March 4, 2015. He was surrounded by his wife, family and canine companions Zeus and Grayson.

Ray was born on September 12, 1967 in Seattle, WA. He attended Dearborn Park Elementary School in Beacon Hill and later attended Cleveland High School. He loved basketball and football and went on to play semi-pro football. Ray attended Highline Community College, where he received an AA in General Studies. He later completed his studies at the University of Hawaii at Manoa in Honolulu Hawaii, where he received his BA in Liberal Studies. On May 23, 2004 Ray married the love of his life, Michelle Ichiyama in Honolulu Hawaii.

Ray was an incredibly personable man who loved to help people and was known for his contagious smile. He worked for Springleaf Financial Services for 14 years as a Branch Manager before accepting a position with The Boeing Company as a Machinist Team Lead. In his spare time, he loved to cheer on the Seahawks, go fishing, visit eateries featured on Guy Fieri's Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives, BBQ, and spend time with Zeus and Grayson, his adopted canine companions. Ray was one of the Seattle Sonics biggest fans and never gave up on his dream that one day the Sonics would return to Seattle.

February 23, 2015 was the happiest moment in Ray's life. He and his wife Michelle gave birth to their twin sons, Tyler and Micah. Although Ray passed just one week after his sons' birth he had his ultimate dream; to become a father. His legacy and dreams will live on through his two sons, Tyler and Micah.

He is survived by his beloved wife Michelle, his newborn twins Micah and Tyler; his father Hing; his brothers Sherwin, Delwin (Maryann) and sister Desiree (Salvador) He is preceded in death by his mother Jane.

Services will be held Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 11:00 AM at Butterworth Arthur A Wright Chapel. 520 West Raye St. Seattle WA 98119
