Not sure what to say?

Bob, we were so surprised & saddened to hear that Robbie had passed away.

Robbie was a warm, caring person & such a great baker! I can't count the num her of times she so generously enriched my father's life by sending him her home made cookies or brownies. He was always so happy to receive one of her care packages. I also remember once even meeting you & Robbie at the Oregon coast when she had baked him a lovely cake.

We both fondly remember the times we & Marla were able to meet up with the two of you at the coast, in San Francisco or wherever to share a wonderful meal & experience the pleasure of your company.

Some people leave a mark so deep that it is hard to forget them. Robbie is certainly one of those memorable individuals. May you ultimately find peace in the memories that you cherish of your many years together.

With affection,
Dennis Blanchard & Barry Lynch

Robbie and I became friends almost 6 years ago when our new rescue puppy, Beau, parked his scared self right in front of her house refusing to move in any direction. Robbie come out with doggie treats and saved the day. Despite her 40+ years on our block and my 27 years, we had never met.

Our friendship took off--yam treats for Beau, wonderful conversations, meeting her two older terriers, and then, a wonderful empathetic ear when my mother passed away suddenly. She was generous with gifts of peach preserves, her lovely photo cards and sharing uplifting emails with messages of humor, love and restaurant reviews (filling a hole that my mom left when she used to send me fun, quirky emails). I was able to be there for her when her two "fur babies" passed away in a short span of time, and was delighted to receive my very first puppy announcements when Kelly Rose and Molly joined the McMahon family.

Robbie was a delight and I will miss her light, creativity, joy, awe of nature and sensitivity to what is important in our world. My deepest condolences to Bob and all those who have been touched by her life.

Bob,
So sorry for your loss. I was never fortunate enough to meet Robbie but if she was anything like you, she must have been wonderful. Thoughts with you and yours during this time and always.

Robbie....
I have many happy memories of a friendship that spans twenty five years, traveling together extensively - first when you and Bob came here to New Zealand, then later in the USA, Canada and the UK.
Remember the time you took me to my very first baseball game in Seattle? We were walking into the grounds when suddenly someone called my name. It was a couple who had stayed with Giles and I when we had our B&B here in New Zealand, they were on their honeymoon and on their way back to the UK.
I always enjoyed meeting your father (as his 'date') when he was alive and he joined us for one of your fabulous meals when I was visiting you. Boris was also there when we breakfasted together when we all happened to be in London at the same time.
You and Bob showed me so many interesting places when I visited on my way to the UK. We have walked in some wonderful gardens, climbed into the snow, crossed the border into Canada, visited and explored the islands, have eaten fine meals and really enjoyed ourselves.
Your dear husband Bob and I will always have those memories. I am sad to loose you Robbie, but glad you are at peace. Love as always. Deborah Xx

I had the great honor of being Robbie's dentist and the great privilege of becoming her friend over the last 25 years. It always put a big smile on my face when I saw her name on the schedule. More often than not I would direct the front desk to schedule extra time in Robbie's appointments so that she and I could discuss which restaurants we each had visited and really liked (along with the ones we wouldn't step foot in again!) More importantly, we needed time to discuss recent culinary successes from our respective kitchens followed by the sharing of recipes. And yes, some dentistry would get accomplished eventually but Robbie and I had some other quite serious food related matters to deal with first. Robbie always made me smile and laugh. I am going to miss her very much.

Robbie truly was One of a Kind.
She never forgot an important date, your favorite flower and even the type of Tea you drank. She was the most Gracious Host on the planet.
An exceptional cook who never failed to "wow" her guests with some exotic meal and libations to match. All this and a beautiful table setting. She truly Loved to entertain and it showed in everything she did.
Guests and visitors were always welcome at her table.
She delighted in Spring when all the new blooms popped up, the nurseries were in abundance of new growth and the birdies were chirping in her water feature and all was luscious and green in abundance in her beautiful garden.
The little birdies and flowers were the makings of many stunning photos she took which became "Robbie McMahon Gift Cards".
When she wasn't cooking for others she was sharing her favorite restaurants with guests and friends alike.
Over the years we shared many wonderful stories about our gardens, favorite books, best places to eat in San Francisco and our true passion, travel.
We met in Quebec when we were both on vacation. Lore has it, Bob "picked me up" and my life has been so enriched by the Love of these two wonderful people.
Words can't truly express my sorrow over her passing.
May she know how much she was Loved and cared about.
I Loved and Adored Robbie and I shall carry her in my Heart always.
My home is filled with the many wonderful and beautiful gifts purchased "just for me" over the years. So Robbie will always be with me.
I raise my glass, she her Gin, me my White Wine and we shall celebrate you Always.
Love you Sweet Lady, you left us way too soon.
