Robert Plut Obituary

Robert Paul Plut

Robert Plut (96) passed away peacefully on 11-01-2015 in Renton Wa. at Valley Medical Center due to dementia, kidney failure and pneumonia.

Robert was born in Kimball South Dakota on June 15 1919. He was the youngest of nine children raised by his parents Joe and Anna.

Robert moved to Seattle when he was 17 and attended the University of Washington graduating with a degree in pharmacy in 1941. He remained an avid Husky fan though his greatest passion was for horse racing. After he retired from being a pharmacist he was appointed as a commissioner on the Washington State Horse Racing Commission due to his reputation for honesty and the love of the sport. He rarely missed a weekend at the track and even more rarely bet more than $2.00 on a race, earning the nickname Two Buck Bob.

Robert was a devoted husband to his wife of 61 years, Lillian, who passed away in 2009.

Robert was a constant source of support for his 4 children (Randy, Rick, Mary Ann, Tim) and his 6 grandchildren (Erin, Cale, Llly, Heidi, Carli, Daley). Robert remained in contact with all his siblings until their passing and enjoyed visiting with his many nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be held at St. Mary's Cemetery in Marysville WA. at 11:00AM Saturday, 11/14. Please sign Robert's online Guestbook at www.Legacy.com.

So long my horseracing friend. You are in a better place today. All of your exactas come in ....even when you don't box them, your golf game is back and all of your Snickers are free. I will truly miss you. The track will never be the same without you. Peace and Love--Angi
