Bob was a regular visitor at the Agape Lutheran Student Center during my years as pastor, 2000-2005. I valued his friendship and the lively conversations we shared. William Kratzke has reminded me that he and his wife, now Saint Ruth, attended one of our student concerts with Bob and you, Ruth, probably in about 2002. I am blessed that Bill shared the link to the Times obituaries, and I thank God for my association with Bob and for his amazing theological mind and engaging perspectives. I have the perception that his broad theological vision was more embracing than many could appreciate. He was a valued friend to me during those years of student ministry in the bustling U District. My thoughts and prayers go out to you and your family at this time. I was a student at LTSS in the early 80's and helped the Doctor with his taxes.
