Rose was my "other mother". My mother had a stroke at the age of 30, when I was 5, one brother 9 and the other brother was 9 months. Seeking to be a normal classmate, girl, etc., I joined the Brownies in second grade and joined my classmates in the greatest times our lives, with Rose Weiss as our leader. She was truly our leader and gave us the true skills to great nature, learn and express our abilities and be a true person that learned to give and give some more. She was a true leader who always made us laugh, while we learned how to clean Camp Robinswold, learn life saving skills, helped us learn how to make Smoores, make meals from the things we caught or prepared, etc. We learned how is save ourselves if our boat or canoe
flipped over, saving ourselves and others if we experienced something else that left us in the water with all of our clothes. However, more than that she was "there" for us at all time and lead us to be caring and giving people. I am SO glad that Butch and I got to visit with her before her passing. OMG, she even recognized me after all these years. Her
patience and giving has truly stuck with me and others she wrapped her arms around and help make us what we are today. Memories will will never pass.
