Rosina Castner Obituary

Rosina Marie (Marbett) Castner

1953 - 2015

Rosina Castner passed away peacefully on July 13, 2015, surrounded by family, after a long period of declining health.

"Rose" was born on July 17, 1953, in Seattle, WA to Gerald and Marilyn Marbett. In 1978 she married Peter Castner and they enjoyed 36 years of marriage before his passing in 2014. Rose lived most of her life in Seattle and had a long and successful career at The Boeing Company. She and Peter had a passion for travel and they visited many parts of the world on their journeys.

Always generous in heart and soul she brought the fun, laughs and humor to the family gatherings. Beautiful and vivacious, Rose will always be remembered for her big smile and infectious laugh, and the love she gave to her husband and family.

Rose is survived by her loving father and step-mother, Gerald and Carol Marbett, brothers Bob, Greg, John, Phil and Eric, and sister Pam, many nieces and nephews, and all the members of the Castner family. She was preceded in death by her husband Peter, mother Marilyn, and her adored dog Sawyer.

A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, July 21st, 2015 at 11am at St. John Vianney, 12600 84th Ave. NE, Kirkland, WA 98034. A reception will follow in Parish Hall.

I was sorry to miss Rose's memorial service. She was my co-worker and friend at Boeing. I'll miss her sparkle and laughter. I'm thankful for having met some of the special people in her life during my visits with her - Tom & Greg, you added some new stories to my memories or Rose. I'll treasure them.

Rosie touched my heart by becoming my boss, my friend, and lastly becoming the light and laughter in my life after my world had turned dark during my divorce. I will always treasure her special loving ways and most of all the smiles she brought to my heart!

Rosina was truly a fun loving person. She was my boss at Boeing and was a fun boss to work for. She was serious when she needed to be, and fun when she needed to be. I'm sorry she isn't with us any longer. Rest in peace Rose.
