Stephen Riordan Obituary

Stephen M. RIORDAN Age 90 long time Edmonds resident died December 7, 2002. Born September 17, 1912 in Melrose, IA to Stephen and Margaret Riordan. He attended the University of Idaho for 3 years; then moved to Los Angeles, where he met Gertrude Neubauer. They were married for 65 years. He served in the U.S. Navy in the Submarine Corps during WW II. Stephen worked for the FMC Corporation for over 25 years as an Advertising Manager. Then, after retirement in 1972 he worked as a consultant within advertising and as a Director of St. Vincent De Paul in Aurora, CO. He was very involved in the Catholic Church, including the Knights of Columbus and CCD. He was very proud of publishing his autobiography. He survived by his children Arnold Neubauer, Irene Rush, Carol Hayes, and Margaret Riordan; 12 grandchildren Arnold, Diana, Donna, Richard, Stephen, Julia, Jennifer, Karyn, Sharyn, Kelli, Jason, Janina, ; 13 great-grandchildren; four great-great-grandchildren; and his sister Marie Riordan. The Funeral Mass will be Friday, December 13, 2002 at 10:30 a.m. at St. Thomas More Catholic Church, 6511 - 176th St. SW, Lynnwood. Memorials may be made in his name to St. Thomas More Parish.
