Theodore Wright Obituary

Theodore (Ted) Kamil WRIGHT Ted Wright was born July 5, 1933 in La Jolla CA. He passed away quietly in his West Seattle home on April 11, 2012. Though Ted was born in California, he spent the vast majority of his life in the Northwest. Ted loved racing and participated for decades racing both boats and cars. He had a great love of life and lived it on his own terms. Ted is survived by his mother Margaret, his son Paul, and his two grandchildren Kindra and Derek. Ted was incredibly intelligent, had a great sense of humor, a huge heart, and will be missed immensely. There will be no service, so in lieu of flowers, if people wished to make a small donation to Friends of the Animals in West Seattle in Ted's name, this would be something Ted would appreciate.

I only met Ted in the last couple years through my girlfriend who worked with him but he was someone special. It was great chatting about aviation with someone who knew what I was talking about and vice versa. I really wished we could have convinced him to go to a couple of the aircraft collections in Everett since I know he followed what was going on there in magazines. Ted will be greatly missed.

I remember vividly when Ted came to Fauntleroy Grade School in 1944. He was very well liked, a good guy, a wonderful friend.

I moved to both Renton and Edmonds after the end of the 6th grade, so I never saw Ted again, although I asked other friends as to his health and/or whereabouts.

Whenever I thought about La Jolla, I thought of Ted, knowing that's where he was from.

I hope someone from his family will contact me.
