Thomas Minor PELLY Jr. 74, passed away Sunday, February 16th at his beloved log cabin along the SF Skykomish River. Minor was born in Seattle, WA on September 7, 1928 to Mary Taylor Pelly and Thomas Minor Pelly. He graduated from Lakeside School and attended Trinity College in Hartford CT. He was the general manager of Lowman and Hanford Printing Company and President of Sonitrol Northwest. He was an avid sailor, enjoyed many years skippering 6-meters and loved fishing in Alaska, Canada and Washington waters. Minor is remembered by his six children who share his passion for the outdoors, Margaret Ault, Kennewick WA, Lisa Pelly, Bainbridge Island WA, Shannon Miles and spouse Mitch, Sacramento CA, Tom Pelly, New York City NY, Richard Pelly and spouse Amy, Seattle WA, Michael Pelly and spouse Sara, Orange CA, his sister Marion Pelly Moriarty, Bainbridge Island WA, five grandchildren; Jamie and Matthew Ault, Emma and Sam Pelly, Ryan Miles and numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Minor's friends in Baring for all of their support and friendship. Family and friends are invited to Minor's Lodge on Saturday, February 22 at 2 p.m. to celebrate his life. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Charles Moriarty Foundation, P.O. Box 11368, Bainbridge Island, WA. 98110 or to a stream conservation organization of your choice. God grant that I might fish until my dying day, And when I make my one last cast I then most humbly pray: When in the Lord's safe landing net I'm peacefully asleep, That in his mercy I'll be judged as good enough to keep.
