Dang.
I was looking to connect with Tim tonight and started searching numbers and the internet to find him on social media, or get his number. I am saddened that I have come to this page and that I was too late.
After living with Gary Buck, Tim was my roommate at WWU. He would often visit Bellingham after graduating and we would hook up. Kind of lost touch after he moved to Atlanta.
There were many memories together.
Rest in Peace Tim.

At work, Tim was smart, thoughtful and knew how to help clients with issues. Outside of work he was a little reserved but funny and really enjoyed baseball. It saddens me that he has passed but I know he is in a better place. May God rest his soul and my thoughts and prayers to his family.

Tim was indeed a kind and gentle soul. He was also a good friend and I'll dearly miss seeing him at the Baranof and catching up with him on sporting events and our mutual experiences at the Wallingford Boys Club.
RIP Tim. You will be dearly missed!

I would like to pass along the many thoughts, prayers and condolences from so many people I have spoken to, emailed or texted with since Tim passed away. He was certainly universally liked and respected, was taken from us far too soon and we will miss him sorely.
Among those who have expressed their deepest sorrows and send good thoughts and prayers to the Wass family are friends from college and high school, work and social gatherings, and old neighborhood buddies and golf partners. Some have submitted entries below, but the others include: Tom Riley, Mike McGrath, Steve Beattie, Kelly Sullivan, Jeff Carter, Liz and Ben Brostrom, Cardell Poe, Dawn Marie Kazakos, John Martin, Pat Lavery, Jay Erdahl, Charlie Kirbey, Ken Gardner, Dave Swanson, Nancy (Zamberlin) Charlton, Mary (Sheehan) Navalinski. and Beth Sneeringer, Frank Degregorio, Dave Self, Earl Palmeter, Brian Martin, Ruby Ramsay, John Ramsay, Tom Ramsay , Kate Ross, Krista and J.J., the gang at the 125th: Dave and Curtis, Angelica, Smitty, Mark, Kristen, Brian, Oscar, many more friends from the Baranof, his work crew at Smart Cities, and the rest. Everyone he met he made feel like they were friends.
Tim lived with our family for the past nine years. He was the ideal tenant: quiet, private, respectful and appreciated. Tim and I attended many a Husky football game together with brother Mike, traveled to Atlanta to play golf and visit old friends, drove cross country more than once, enjoyed our weekend rounds with Jeff and John at local golf courses, and shared many a backyard barbeque and cold beverage. We mourn his passing because we loved him. With some good fortune, we will be able to schedule a memorial soon and pay tribute to his wonderful man.
Thanks for caring. It means a lot.

Tim was my first year college roommate at Western and HS comrade at Blanchet. I think we were both Juniors at WWU starting
in the dorms at Beta.
I hadn’t seen Tim for many years,
but will always hold great memories of our HS and college experiences together. I recall not studying nearly as often as we should have that first year, but we sure had fun having each other’s backs.
He just called me about a month ago, after I lost touch, with hopes of grabbing a beer or a golf game in the near future to catch up.
Life is so precious.
His authentic smile and witty sense of humor will be sorely missed !!
Rest In Peace, Tim.

Tim was my neighbor. I always walked him walking to work in the morning through my home office window ( pre-Covid). I would see him on Saturday's at Husky games tailgating like a gentleman. (Pre-Covid). Then the world change, but Tim didn’t. He went about his day walking and taking the bus, visiting his favorite dive bar once ok, Baranoff. I soon started to pick him up and chat with him on the way to ‘our’ favorite places. We discussed Covid, his family, the Dawgs and mostly golf. I was taken back (that doesn’t seem like the right phrase) to learn of his passing. I had just spoken with him about a weekend in Desert Aire for shenanigans and golf. He told me everything to expect on the course, and he was right! I wanted to tell him about my experience and how spot on he was. Fudge buckets!!! This really hurts and more than I would’ve thought for a casual neighbor and bar friend. Now I understand why it hurts so much! Because Tim is Tim! I’m going to miss walking him walk by my office window. I’m going to miss our conversations. I miss you my friend.
Much love and RIP,
Michael Heffernan

My heartfelt sympathies to Tim's family (especially you, Mike) as they grieve this loss. I met Tim 25-ish years ago through his childhood friends. I so admire the connection and loyalty that bonded them together. Tim was always ready with a smile and I will miss his chuckle. A good, kind man.

My condolences to the Wass family at the loss of your son, brother and uncle,Timmy was the best friend anyone could have, I wouldn't have gotten through two years of Latin in high school without Tim's help and friendship. Nothing but great memories playing with Tim on Saint Benny's basketball and baseball teams, and let us not forget the Wass-a-roos football squad sophomore year at Blanchet, Tim was the QB. Tim was a great asset as fellow cook on the smorgasbord line at Pizza Haven on the ave at a time when the U-District was a safe fun place to hang out, a lifetime ago, a very fun time to grow up in North Seattle in the 70's. I think even his brother worked Mike there also,hi Mike. I'm sure all his nieces and nephews were spoiled by uncle Tim. Rest in peace my good friend, maybe we'll get a pick game of round ball going in heaven someday, you are one of the good ones.

I was very shocked and sorry to read this in the Seattle Times this past Sunday. I grew up next to the Wass family in the Wallingford neighborhood and remember Tim and the rest of the family well. I have very fond memories of many summer evenings outdoors in our shared alley playing as a child with all of them. Especially an old childrens game that was called "Kick the Can". A much calmer and simpler time then. My condolences and sympathy go out to all the members of the family at this very difficult time. Sincerely, Gregory Leech.
