Buddy Allen Obituary

Buddy D. Allen age 78 of Sedalia died on August 12, 2009 at his home.

He was born on June 22, 1931 in Pettis County son of Robert and Leah Houk Allen. He was married on September 18, 1951 in Sedalia to Kathryn L. Wade and she survives of the home. He attended a rural school in the Windsor area. He was a machine operator for the Missouri Pacific Railroad for forty three years. He was secretary and treasure for the Brotherhood and Maintainence Of Way Employees for twenty plus years. He enjoyed coon hunting and raising his own coon dogs, the black and tan and the blue ticks.

He is survived by four sons, Ricky D. Allen and wife Janet of Oxford, Michigan, Jerry L. Allen and wife Carol of Sedalia, Johnny L. Allen of Sedalia, Jeffery R. Allen and wife Virginia of Sedalia; one daughter, Brenda K. Hoffman of Sedalia; one brother, Rodney Murphy of Brookings, Oregon; eleven grandchildren, Jason Allen, Johnny Allen,Jr., J.R. Allen, Joshua Allen, Kathryn Lackman, Kristin Allen, Kimberly Hall, Rebecca Allen, Kassy LuAllen, Stephanie Hoffman, Kaitlyn Bunch; six great grandchildren.

He was preceded by his parents; two sisters, Lois Forshey and Barbara Wooldridge.

Funeral services will be at 10:00 A.M. Saturday August 15, 2009 at Ewing-Schutte-Semler Funeral Home with Ricky D. Allen officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be grandsons Jason Allen, Johnny Allen, Jr., J.R. Allen, Aaron Lackman, Wally Hall, Chris LuAllen. Burial will be in Highland Sacred Gardens in Sedalia. The family will receive friends from 7:00 P.M. until 8:30 P.M. Friday at the funeral home. Memorials may be given to the Alzheimer's Association in care of the funeral home.
