Patrick Eugene Faulstich, age 44, of Sedalia, died Sunday, November 16, 2008 at his home.

He was born January 22, 1964, in Omaha, NE, a son of Charles and Olga (Schafler) Faulstich. On July 12, 1986, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Sedalia, he was married to Tamara Atkinson, who survives of the home.

He was raised and educated in Iowa. He moved to Cole Camp with his family in the early 1980s. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Sedalia. He worked at Sears Sedalia for 22 years. He was heavily involved with Boy Scout Troop 54 and Cub Scout Pack 25. He was unofficially named the "Official IT Guy" at Sedalia St. Paul's Lutheran School. He enjoyed working on computers, camping, music, watching his sons play football for St. Paul's Lutheran High School, Concordia and the Minnesota Vikings. Patrick was the kind of man that always did for others.

He is also survived by two sons, Adam Joshua Faulstich and Austin Erik Faulstich, of the home; his mother, Olga Faulstich, of Cole Camp; two brothers, Charles (Karen) Faulstich, of Stover, and Johann (Alison) Faulstich, of Columbia; a sister, Andrea (Paul) Boughton, of Ankeny, IA; 4 nieces; 3 nephews; and 1 grand niece.

He was preceded in death by his father.

The body was cremated.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. on Wednesday, November 19, 2008 at McLaughlin Funeral Chapel. There will be a prayer service at 7:45 p.m.

Patrick was not only a good friend but an asset to St. Paul's Lutheran school. He worked tirelessly in developing our computer lab and doing it all without much of a budget. He enjoyed solving problems and would work sometimes late into the night to solve a computer issue. He never forgot about his "boys" Adam and Austin were very close to his heart and he always had them in his thoughts and prayers. Proverbs 18:24 "Friends can destroy one another, but a loving friend can stick closer than family." Patrick was closer to me than my own brothers and will be missed. May God comfort his family and his many friends. Praise God for allowing us to know Patrick.

My son and I first met Pat when he went to work at Sears (from where my mother retired in 1985) and also attend the same church. He was always so friendly and helpful. We will miss and remember him. May God bless his family-you're in our thoughts and prayers.
