RUDOLPH -- John L. Creps of Rudolph, Ohio, age 84 went home to be with his Lord and Savior on January 28, 2025 in Bowling Green, Ohio. He was born May 20, 1940 to Lloyd and Geraldine (Farquharson) Creps in Bowling Green, Ohio, and they preceded him in death.
He graduated from Bowling Green High School in 1958 and attended Sonlight Community Church & Community Center in Weston, Ohio. He was also a member of Mt. Zion UB church in Wayne, Ohio where he previously was active in the choir, and he enjoyed leading the music for many years.
After graduation, he was employed at Daybrooks, then later by Henry Filters, Inc. in Bowling Green, Ohio. He worked at Henry's for over 40 years, first as a welder, then managing the service department and retired as a Senior Vice President.
He married Elnore Lindemeyer on December 16, 1961, and she survives. Together they raised four children, Kelly (Ted) Lewallen, of Rudolph; Ty (Kelley) of Wapakoneta; Jay (Sherry) of Culleoka, Tennessee; and Jill of Rudolph, Ohio all of whom survive. Also surviving are five grandchildren, Ashley Conner Mayse (Evan) Dallas, Texas; Curt (Sabrina) Creps and Rachel (Lucas) Severt, all of Wapakoneta, Ohio; Timothy (Brittani) Creps of Lewisburg, Tennessee; and Austin Creps of Culleoka, Tennessee. He is also the great grandfather of four, with two more on the way. Also surviving are a sister, Joyce McCarthy, Ocala, Florida; Wendell, Rochester, Michigan; and Tom, Maumee, Ohio. A sister, Marilyn Hainen, preceded him in death. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
John was a great lover of horses and in his spare time he was a farrier from his teenage years until he retired. He could always be found at the Wood County Fair helping his children and grandchildren show their 4-H livestock projects.
John's funeral service will be held on Monday February 3, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Dunn Funeral Home, located in the Historical District of Bowling Green at 408 W. Wooster St. Visitation will be held Monday morning at the funeral home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Burial will be private at Rudolph Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers any donations may be made to Sonlight Church and Community Center, Weston, OH, Wood County Dog Shelter, Bowling Green, Ohio or Bridge Hospice of Findlay, Ohio.

I was a member of Mt. Zion Church and sang in the choir with John during my HS years.
He had a wonderful voice and was a positive role model. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Sincere condolences.
