Stella Beatty Obituary
PERRYSBURG -- Stella A. Beatty, age 93, of Perrysburg, OH passed away on Monday, January 15, 2024 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Toledo, OH. She was born on July 8, 1930 in Toledo, OH to Carmelo and Stella (Konczul) Giaimo. On January 2, 1951 she married Daniel J. Beatty in Toledo, OH. Stella and Daniel raised 7 children and celebrated over 50 years of marriage together until Daniel's passing in October of 2001.
In addition to working at OPV in food service early in the 1990's, Stella was also a homemaker. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church in Perrysburg and a former member of Sacred Heart Church on the East Side. Stella was also a former member of the Troy Township EMS. An excellent cook, she was known for her spaghetti sauce and other Italian dishes, and her Christmas cookies. However, her greatest joy was her family, especially her children and grandchildren.
Stella is survived by her children: Daniel J. (Martha) Beatty Jr. of CO, Bruce A. (Regina) Beatty of LA, William S. (Kathy) Beatty of TX, Tina M. (Matt) Bell of Luckey, and Gina J. (Randal) Beatty Martinez of WA. Numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Sister-in-law, Pamela (Charles) Gruber of WV and brother -in-law Maurice "Mo" Maddock of Wauseon.
In addition to her husband Daniel, Stella is preceded in death by her parents, sons David and Andrew, siblings, Tony, Sam, Andy, Rose, Fran, Nancy, Carmella, Annette, and Marie, grandsons Steven, and Michael.
Family and friends will be received 3-7 p.m., on Monday, January 22, 2024 at the Marsh & Marsteller Funeral Home, 110 Main Street, Luckey, OH. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m., Tuesday, January 23, 2024 at St. Rose Catholic Church, 215 Front Street, Perrysburg, OH. Celebrant will be Rev. Monsignor Charles E. Singler. Committal will be in Troy Township Cemetery, Luckey OH. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials take the form of contributions to: Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
