Alex Alvarez Diaz Obituary

Alex Humberto Alvarez Diaz, 33, died suddenly and unexpectedly on
Monday, August 29, 2022 at U. of L. Jewish Hospital in Louisville. A
native of Guatemala, he was the son of Maria Cristina Diaz Santos and
the late Jose Humberto Alvarez Diaz. He was a landscaper, working for
Arias Landscaping of Shelbyville. In his leisure time, he enjoyed music,
dancing and rodeos. He was a Catholic by faith and attended the
Church of the Annunciation.

Survivors include four children, Cristian Alexander Alvarez, Mario
Emanuel Alvarez and Maria Alexandra Alvarez, all of Guatemala and
Jose Humberto Alvarez of Shelbyville; his mother, Maria Cristina Diaz
Santos of Shelbyville; two brothers, Jose Luis Alvarez and Angel Oliver
Alvarez, both of Guatemala and his sister, Christina Anabely Alvarez of
Guatemala.

A funeral mass will be said at 3 p.m., Friday, September 2, 2022 at
Church of the Annunciation. Rev. Fr. David G. Sanchez will officiate.
Visitation will be 2 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. on Friday and following the service
from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Friday at Webb Funeral Home. The cremated
remains will be privately interred later in Guatemala.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Webb Funeral Home. Online
