Billy McClain Obituary

Billy Wayne McClain, 66 of Vanceburg, KY entered into rest Wednesday evening, August 1, 2023, at the Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, Ohio. He was born October 29, 1956, in Paris, KY, a son of the late Charles Clark and Ruth Roberts.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Danny McClain.

Billy loved watching and supporting the Iowa Hawkeyes basketball team. He enjoyed being outdoors, hunting, and fishing when he was able. He also never missed watching Jeopardy and Wheel of Fortune every day.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherri Cheney McClain, whom he married July 2, 1991; one daughter, Molly McClain Jones and her husband Jacob; one brother, David McClain and his wife Brenda Wilburn McClain; and three granddaughters, Willa, Waylee, and Lilly. In addition to these, Billy also leaves behind a host of friends and family that will cherish his memory.

The family is respecting Billy's wishes, and there will be no public services. A private family memorial will be scheduled at a later date.
