Dorothy Moore Obituary

Dorothy J. Moore, 82, died Saturday, September 13, 2025, at her home in Shelby County. She was the owner of Moore's Appliances, repairing and servicing appliances for Shelby County residents for years. She loved spending time fishing, frog-gigging, and sitting on her porch. She was very generous when people needed help, and she loved everybody. Most of all, her family was her life.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Dicky Moore. She is survived by her children, Bobby Moore of Waddy, Jimmy Moore of Shelby County, and Tammy Moore of Shelby County; her sister, Annie Lou Bentley of Shelby County; her brother, Tommy Bentley of Lexington; her grandchildren, Joshua Moore (Lesha), Jacob Moore (Ashley), Niki Tipton (Derrick), Jaimee Sue Moore, Brady Moore (William), and Emmie Moore, all of Shelby County; and Jerrick Reynolds of Franklin County; 18 great grandchildren; and 1 great great grandchild.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the Shannon Funeral Home with Bro. Harry Hebert officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2025, at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Bagdad Cemetery.
