Jackie Eugene Jeremiah, 87, of Liberty, passed away on Thursday, Jan. 18, 2024. He was born on July 16, 1936, in Liberty, to the late Claude Earl and James Margret (Rogers) Jeremiah.
Jackie was preceded in death by his parents; as well as seven brothers, Glen, Fay, Clayton, Harold, Nelson, Dorman and Lin; one sister, Novella Pittman; and one daughter-in -law; Charleen Dees.
Eugene was a hardworking individual who dedicated his life to his family and community. He was employed by Meade Containers, and the owner of Jackie's Furniture. He was a founding member of the Liberty Fire Department, where he served for 21 years. Eugene played a vital role in the expansion of the Liberty Cemetery, leaving a lasting impact on the community.
In his free time, Eugene found joy in mowing grass and spending time with his grandchildren, who were his pride and joy.
Eugene is survived by his wife of 65 years, Ima Jean (Tabor) Jeremiah; his daughters, Debie Pixley and Kennith of Rudy, Ark., Lita Pschier and Derrick of Liberty, Monica Hulse and Mike of Rudy; and his sons, Jackie K. Jeremiah and Blaine Jeremiah of Liberty. He also leaves behind his adored grandchildren, Ashley (Nic), Josh, Tylar, Coby, Sophie, Angie and Kenny, as well as his cherished great-grandchildren, Konner, Kooper and Liam; his sister, Gloria Sue Colvin of Hesperia, Calif.; and brother, Larry Jeremiah of Roland, along with numerous other relatives.
Services for Jackie Eugene Jeremiah will be held at 1 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Josh Denny, Tylar Jeremiah, Konner Lewis, Chipper Jeremiah, Joe Southern, and Les Carter.
Honorary pallbearers will be Kennith Pixley, Mike Hulse, Derrick Pschier, and Doz Lewis.
The viewing will be 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Muldrow. The family will greet from 6 to 8 p.m.
