Funeral services for Melba (Burris) Vaughn, 88, were held at 2 p.m. Monday, Dec. 2, 2024, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Vaughn was born on Jan. 14, 1936, in Quinton to John Burris and Bernice (Carney) Burris. She died on Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2024, in Hot Springs, Ark.
She was a homemaker.
Survivors include daughters, Sharon and Bob Dunseath, Karen and Jack Hillis, Janece and Phil Lawson and Trecia Pate; one sister, Helen Burris Willis; two brothers, TJ "Jack" Burris and James "Blue" Burris; 11 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
