Robert Allen 'Bob' Powell
Dec. 24, 1937 – Aug. 5, 2025

Funeral services for Robert Allen "Bob" Powell, of Odessa, Texas, were held at 10 a.m. Monday, Aug. 11, 2025, at Sunset Memorial Funeral Home in Odessa.
Mr. Powell was born on Dec. 24, 1937, to Leonard Allen Powell and Ruth Alice (Coker) Powell. He died on Tuesday, Aug. 5, 2025, in Odessa.
He was a 1955 graduate of Muldrow High School. After graduation he joined the U.S. Air Force and served until 1964. He worked for 27 years with the U.S. Postal Service, retiring in 1992. He enjoyed playing golf and played in annual tournaments.
Survivors include his wife, Dee Powell of Odessa; sons, Mike and Diana Powell of Odessa and Richie and Linda Powell of Anson, Texas; daughter, Charity Powell Carter and Clyde of Odessa; sisters, Lilly Shamblin of Roland, Pat Curd of Prosper, Texas, Toy Browning, of Victoria, Minn., Floy Buchmann of Rock Springs, Wyo., and Faye and Bill Martin of Vian; brother, Gene and Barbara Powell of Mountain Grove, Mo.; several grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Richard Powell and John Powell; and two sisters, Vivian Pfliger Gamble and Sue Crowder.
