Eleanor,

It's been decades of silence, and a few regrettable missed opportunties. Anna called after reading about your husband--I was out of town. I'm very sorry about your loss. Please accept my regrets and sympathy.

I'm still in SF, still teaching and writing, have occasional contact with old PC pals. And how the world turns.

My best,

Angelo

To Alex's Family:

I am very sorry for your loss. Alex was truly a very unique and special person. I worked with Alex on a number of aircraft transactions and had the opportunity to travel to England with him on one of the deals. His wit was priceless and his ability to see through the chaff to the heart of the matter was exceptional. I delighted in his stories of his early days on the Hill in D.C. He will be missed by many. The girls will no doubt already know that he was a very proud father and did not hesitate to discuss his wonderful family with his business colleagues.

Dear Ellie,

Jeff O'Connell from Shartsis Friese sent me an email informing me of Alex's passing. I am heartbroken. He hired me and inspired me. I loved working for him and being his friend. You and I had some similar experiences together many years ago with someone from California Pacific, and I have never forgotten you or Sandy or, of course, my dear friend, Alex. My deepest sympathy and very best regards to you and your girls.

I was shocked to hear today of Alex's passing. I had the pleasure of working with him on many transactions at CIS and Cypress, and enjoyed his company on many social occasions. He was a true gentlemen. Always gracious and a connoiseur of the finer things in life. In business, he was incisive and had great business sense. Personally, he was honest and always willing to help. I always enjoyed seeing him. He will be missed by all who knew him.

To Alex's family;

I am so sorry to hear this news.

I worked with Alex at Itel and CIS, and had lunch with him too infrequently after that.

Alex was wicked smart, funny and kind.

His laughter was contagious. I am so sorry for your loss of him.
