To Alex's family and friends-I am so sorry to hear of his passing. I spent many years working with Alex and will always remember the many times he would come to my aid just because someone needed help. I will always recall his calm reassurance, humor and encouragement even in the darkest times.

He was someone who lived life to the fullest and had an appetite to learn, experienced every day more than most and shared his unique view of the world with others. I will miss his smile, quick wit, friendship. I think Shakespeare said (Alex would have corrected me if I am wrong!), "we shall not see his like again."

Alex, you were given to us as a gift. You were our missing link: the Good, the Bad, and the Ugly. And now, the Universe has claimed you… not another minute more to share. I shall live with the sting and its pain until…

Alex, we can't begin to tell you how much you'll be missed. Beccy and I will always remember the times we spent with you at the different restaurants we went to together. The food, the laughs, trading family stories. We'll always be thinking of you. Always, Pete and Beccy

My friend since first grade and all the way through high school, Alex was the kindest and wittiest person one could know. Even though years would pass before we saw each other, we would simply pick up where we left off. Man oh man, Alex, why did you leave so soon? The memory of your laugh and zest for life will live on...you are missed...

Real greatness lies in humility and simplicity;

Peace of mind is the greatest wealth;

Smiling is one of the highest forms of meditation; and

Compassion is love expressed in its fullness

I am saddened to hear of the loss of a special friend. Please accept my deepest condolences to the Narruhn family on the loss of your loved one.

I saw Alex a few years ago after nearly three decades and it was a bittersweet moment as we shared our pass, a few laughs and he spoke fondly of his children. In spite of all the years that had passed between us, it was noticeably apparent that he still generated that warmth, kindness that I remember so well as when he first asked me to his Sacred Heart Senior Prom which I happily accepted and for which I felt especially honored to accompany Alex to this special event. I hold fond memories of Alex and my thoughts and prayers are with his family and children at this time. Alex, may you rest in peace.

Fondly and Lovingly,

Betty

I am shocked to learn that Alex has passed on. My condolences to his family. May he rest in peace.

Jose Rangel

April 20, 2006

As Hilda Rangel's brother, it was my privilege to know someone that had the wit and mind speed of Robin Williams, and the kindness and compassion of Ghandi.

Alex had a presence when he was in the room. He made people feel welcome and he was genuinely interested in knowing you. He could talk to you at just about any topic, and interject something witty as well.

He really cared about family and friends and I never saw him mad at anyone, even when he had cause. He was kind, gentle, and took life with a grain of salt. You could tell that he loved life, and he made people laugh and feel good about life.

There is an emptiness now knowing that he was taken from us much too soon, but a part of him will live on in each of us I'm sure.

Our deepest condolences to the Narruhn family and all those who loved him.

Alex, you will be missed.

With Love,

Jose Rangel & Yu Ding
