Alvin Benjamin Obituary

Al passed away in San Francisco on July 12, 2025, at the age of 95. He is survived by his wife Genene, son Robert, daughter Amy, and grandchildren Filip and Karolina. He is predeceased by his sister, Carol Kaufman.
Al was a proud graduate of Princeton University and Yale Medical School and served in the Navy with an honorable discharge. A long-time resident of Los Altos where he and Genene raised their children, Al retired with Genene to San Francisco, where he could be spotted partaking of dim sum and pho at favorite haunts, playing cards at the Concordia Club, taking in the symphony, cheering on the Niners at Candlestick, and enjoying a glass of scotch and a cigar at home.
Al was a devoted husband, rock-solid father, doting grandfather, valued friend, and esteemed colleague. He is cherished.
