Alvin Le Count Obituary

Alvin "Al" E. Le Count

Went home to be with the Lord on Sept. 8, 2015, in Sonoma, after a long battle with cancer.

Beloved husband of Brenda H. Le Count for 38 years; loving father of Alvin E. Le Count, II ( Kate), Adam C. Le Count (Christel) and Dave G.H. Le Count; dear grandfather of Grace, Marion, Emmalyn and Margaux; dear uncle of Kevin Bob and Patti Rodgers, Sandi Epps, Butch Fleck and Holly Kiser. Also survived by great-nieces and -nephews. Al was a close friend of Paul C. Smith (Consuelo), Harry Akre (Elaine) and Wm. B. Pohlman (Nancy).

Al was a veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Vietnam Era. He was a distributor for the S.F. Chronicle, Examiner and the Press Democrat for 40 years. He was very dependable and personally responsible for the Valley getting the daily news. He was a great storyteller. Al was a 25-year member of the Loyal Order of the Moose, Lodge # 2048. The family wants to extend sincere appreciation to the Barragan, Ljung, and Moore families, Gloria, Petra and the Faith Lutheran Church for all their support. He was an active member of the Faith Lutheran Church for 37 years, a resident of Sonoma and native of Shippensburg, PA. Age 72 years.

Friends are invited to attend a memorial service at the Faith Lutheran Church, 19355 Arnold Dr., Sonoma, at 11 a.m. Saturday, Sept 26, 2015. A private inurnment will be held at the Sonoma Veterans Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations to Faith Lutheran Church are preferred in Al's memory.
