Her loving husband of 58 years, Gus Stavros died in 2002. Anne graduated in 1937 from Polytechnic High School in San Francisco, worked at Fort Mason during WWII and later as a dental assistant for her brother Dr. Stephen Saribalis. On March 14,1943 she married Gus Stavros at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral in San Francisco. When her two children were born, she became a fulltime mom. In 1972, Anne and Gus moved to Walnut Creek and were an integral part of their family's lives. Anne was an avid Giants baseball fan and very devoted to her Greek Orthodox faith and church. Anne leaves behind her son Paul Stavros (Kathy) of Hayward; daughter, Deanne Kosturos, and son-in-law, Nick of Lafayette. She will be sadly missed by her grandchildren: Kim Vorhauer (Jason), Angela White (Joey), both of Martinez; Amber and Stephen Stavros of Pleasant Hill and Michelle Stavros of Boulder, CO. Anne was preceded in death by her brother Dr. Christopher Saribalis; survived by her brother Dr. Stephen Saribalis; sister, Mary Canellos of SF; and many loving nieces and nephews. Anne especially enjoyed spending time with her niece Joanne Canellos. In her final days, it was the company of her great-grandchildren, Alexandra, Jason Jr. and Kyle that gave her the greatest joy. The Funeral Service will be Friday, May 12, 2006, 11:00 am at St. Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church, 1955 Kirker Pass Rd., Concord, CA 94521. I am so sorry for your loss.

I will always remember Aunt Anne's laugh, her saying my name ("Pammy") after almost every sentence, her strength in mind and spirit, and most of all, her intense love for her family!

Our thoughts and prayers are with all of you.

Love, Pamela and family (Clint, Ashley and Avery)
