I lost track with Tony over the years but always recounted to my friends how sleepovers at Tony's were the best because at my house TV was basically forbidden and at the Stephenson's we watched cartoons early in the morning before going out and playing ball. Tony, I'll always think of you fondly for those happy days!

Very ironic - if only you were still here to help me fill in a few spots, I'm sure I can finish this one last puzzle with you buddy...
You were amazingly smart, funny and the many people you have touched will miss you dearly. I'll see you on the other side my friend.

This is devastatingly sad news. I know what a tight group all you guys were and remember those San Francisco days fondly. Everyone getting together to play baseball, then often going out to play pool after games.
Being the wife of one of his buddies, I personally did not spend a lot of time with Tony, but heard many stories: baseball draft, poker night, Craig's list guru writer, and more.
Tony visited and stayed with us in Santa Monica before meeting with a Hollywood producer for his film, and it was one of the first times I really had a chance to see who he was as a person rather than just seeing him at baseball games or at an event with friends. He was a very polite, cheerful, low key, guest, and seemed excited that his film script was moving. Then, a few years ago we visited him at his small but seemingly happy and self sufficient San Francisco apartment wherein he cheerfully gave us a “tour,” and described items in that apartment, as well as family photos. It was pretty entertaining the way he described his surroundings. I do think he was baking cookies at the time and it always impresses me when guys cook or bake!
I saw Tony as a kind, thoughtful, intelligent, tall, good looking, funny, sharp-witted guy, and a truly talented comic writer who still had so much to offer, develop, and explore, in whatever he chose to do. It didn't matter.
I hope he is at peace wherever he is now. Our family's condolences to his family and all his friends. While hearts are broken, keep him alive in your hearts. Keep sharing stories and memories. Cheers to a very witty, kind-hearted man. You will be sorely missed.

Tony was a great, wonderful (and, of course, very funny) friend through my entire childhood, from Town through University High School. I am so sorry for this loss. I will miss him, and send my heartfelt condolences to his family.

To Tony's family my deepest sympathies. To Tony's friends we grieve as one. To say I will miss him will never capture the void I now have, and will always have, in my heart.
Besides being a good friend, good athlete and scholar, who knew that man could also bake some awesome cookies. Save me a burnt one Tony, I know you liked those too....

I am deeply saddened to hear of Ton's passing and I can't begin to imagine the grief the Stephenson family is feeling right now. My thoughts have been with them and about Tony from the moment I heard. He was so incredibly smart, and even more funny. He could put a smile on anyone's face with his quick, unique humor. And his heart was full of kindness and love for people and animals. I will never forget him or the time I had with him.

I knew Anthony only through emails and interaction on a few message boards, yet my heart is terribly sad. I enjoyed his biting wit and ability to deftly make a point in a few short words. Deepest condolences.

Very sorry to hear of Tony's passing. The smile in that picture is perfect, more of a grin. We played baseball together at Wesleyan, and he will always be a great teammate and friend. Very sorry for your loss.

My condolences to the Stephenson family. Anthony was a special person who had the ability to unexpectedly touch people in special ways with either his mind or his generosity.
So many great memories over the past 25 years, including 19 years of Softball and 10+ years of ROTO Baseball and NCAA Final Fours.
