Aran King Obituary
Aran Helen King (born 11/4/65) passed away unexpectedly on April 30, 2024. Aran graduated from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo in 1988 and had a successful professional career at Union Bank of California. Aran left her job after she was diagnosed with M.S. in 2011 and spent most of her time caring for her family (motherhood was Aran's greatest joy) and their dogs, Lulu and Duffy, on their daily walks at Fort Funston. Aran is survived by her devoted husband, John Kavanagh; their beloved children, Juliana and Jack; her sisters, Molly King and Tasha King (Jules); her brother-in-law, Tim Kavanagh; and sister-in-law, Kathleen Kavanagh Gonzalez. She will be missed by her dear friends; Allison Norman, Tom Sheppard, Susan Bigcraft, Tony Carnevale, and Dean Levitt. Aran was buried in a private family ceremony.
A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, September 21st at 10:30 am at St. Thomas More School located at 50 Thomas More Way in San Francisco. The brief ceremony will be held outdoors, so that Aran's dog friends (and their dog parents) can attend.
