Arthur Massey

Arthur Lair Massey Dec. 17, 1929 - Nov. 18,2010 Art Massey passed away with his devoted wife and best friend of 29 years, Cheryl, by his side. He leaves behind a loved daughter, Arta Broun (Larry), two lively and charming grandchildren, Cayla and Max, as well as dear family members and friends on the West Coast and in Texas. Art came to the Bay Area from Texas in 1956 and had an active business life for over 50 years. More important, he was a mentor to many, leading by example with his clarity of thought, respect and humor. He was a lifelong believer in fairness and equality for all people which he demonstrated consistently in his daily life. A passionate bicyclist for over 40 years, he explored many trails from the Los Gatos hills to the Sierras to Lake Tahoe. To Art's many cycling buddies, especially the Outfitter's group in Los Altos, please climb your highest hills, look around and think of Art. He was a truly manly man.
