Barbara Albertoni Obituary
Barbara was born in San Francisco, California on May 7, 1948. She was a Pacifica resident for over 35 years. Barbara and Robert Lockwood were actively involved in raising their two sons Mario Lockwood and the late Michael Lockwood (AKA Crash Holly). Barbara generously volunteered numerous hours of her time with activities, sports and clubs that her sons were involved in.
Barbara attended St. Monica's Grammar School, San Francisco and George Washington High School. Her high-spirited personality always had her working with the public. Barbara retired with over 20 years of service from UCSF Medical Center. Her favorite pastimes included bingo, family cruises and spoiling her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was always ready for the next trip to the casinos.
Barbara is survived by her mother Mary Callaghan Balestreri, sister Josie (Harry) Ewing and brother Peter (Kathy) Balestreri. She is preceded in death by her father Mario Balestreri and Grand Parents Peter and Josephine Balestreri. Barbara was the very much cherished and loved Nonni to Nathan, Patty and Mirella. Brother in law Bob (Josephine) Borrmann with Brother in law Bill (Bonnie) Borrmann will miss her dearly. Preceded in death by grandparents Elizabeth Blackburn and Robert Callaghan.
Services will be held at St Peter's Church in Pacifica, California on Tuesday, April !4th at 12 pm. Private interment ceremony will be held at Holy Cross Cemetery in Colma, California.

In an era of pretense and sham you were a breathe of fresh air. You were a wonderful friend and I will miss you always.. May you rest in peace, Barbara. We shared so many memories raising our children together on Irving St., and even before we married. I will pray for your family, especially your Mom, who joins Josie, you and I in the terrible position of losing a child. I know you must have found some peace in knowing you'll see Michael and Jason. Barbara had the sweetest heart with a passion for life in the most beautiful way. She will remain in my my mind's eye always.
