Sunrise, February 12, 1947 in San Francisco California, Sunset May 28, 2018 in Oakland, Ca. Beloved daughter of Leon Slade(deceased 1993) and Dollena Slade. She leaves to cherish her memory, her mother Dollena, her brother Michael Slade and sister in law Carol Slade, her son Damani Powell as well as four grand children, one great grand daughter, as well as a host of cousins, nieces, nephews, and life long friends and adopted sisters.Family and friends are invited to celebrate her life on Sunday June 10, 2018 at Chapel of the Chimes 4499 Piedmont Ave. Oakland Ca. from 11:00-1:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers donations in Barbara's name can be made to the Susan G. Komen Foundation for Cancer Research.
