Benjamin Floriani Obituary

Benjamin Herbert Floriani "Pride and Poise." A son, a brother, and a friend has left us physically but will remain in spirit forever. Ben was born on August 6, 1986 and left this world on December 15, 2007. Ben is survived by his parents, Don and Wendy Floriani; his brothers, Matthew and Alec; and his dog Sonny. Ben has touched many lives including family, friends, and loved ones. Ben will be deeply missed by all that were fortunate enough to know him. The family invites the community to join together to celebrate Ben's life on Saturday, Dec. 22, 2007, 12pm at the Sebastopol Community Center, 390 Morris Street. In lieu of flowers, a scholarship fund in Ben's name has been established. Donations can be made to Santa Rosa Sunrise Rotary Club, Ben Floriani Fund, PO Box 14953 Santa Rosa, CA 95402.

Where do I start, Ben I Love You And I Miss You So Much man. All The time we've spent together these last 5 years i will never forget. You were always a stand up guy who would do anything to help anyone of his friends. I Remember this past year when i wasn't doing so well. I Was Working But my Car had Recently Died on me and i was in a bind with no way to get to work. Ben and I had been talking the last couple of years about me buying his car from him. Then when i was doing bad, down on my luck i recieved a call from Ben saying " You can Take The 300zx,You need it more than me right now, plus I know how much you love it and i Kwnow you'll get it fixed and take care of it." That was the kind of friend Ben was, thinking of his friends even when they weren't there with him. He was always there for me and me for him whenever he needed me. I will never forget all the times we had together and how much love you had for everyone.

Don, Wendy & Family,

My heartfelt sympathy for your loss! My little brother, Oliver Brink, grew up with Ben - what fun times they had. He would have been at the service but is traveling. He has also expressed his sorrow. I cannot imagine what you are going through, especially as the media searches for a story. In time, you will be able to only remember the good times. All the best to you all as you cope with this tragic loss, and know that all of Sebastopol grieves for the unfair, and so early, loss of such a great young man.

Wendy and the Floriani Family,
Looking at today's (Sunday) paper and finally getting the courage to read it, my heart melted. I so had wished that Nicole and I could have attended that beautiful service for Sweet Ben. I had to drive to Oakland International to put Nicole on a plane to Southern Cal; thus, missing Ben's service. I truly want you to know that it's almost too difficult to find the words as to extend my heartfelt condolences to this wonderful Floriani Family. As a young widow (47) of nearly 4 years, I can, however, offer a bit of advice from what I have learned. Allow yourself to grieve in your own unique way, as that is the one thing (grieving) that you can not evade. Moreover, it's unavoidable and mandatory to do so as per your own well-being. Time will ease the pain somewhat, but in the meantime... take care of yourselves because I think Ben would want that for all of you.
Rest Easy, Sweet Smilin' Ben; you'll forever and ever be missed. I'm deeply saddened, and so is Nicole.
And I cry...
Love,
Suzie and Nicole Campiglio

Ben, you lighted up every room you walked into. You made all of us smile and laugh. You and Kris made me laugh and you were such a talented person. You had just started to follow the path God had given you. Your path was not always easy, but you made everything you did fun. You will so be missed by everyone in our Family and our thoughts hopes and prayers go out to your mom and dad, and your little Bros. RIP Ben you are now shinning down on us and you will never be forgotten.

benny, where do I start.
You taught me all i know about music, you introduced me to my best friends, and you make everyone around you happy. I have hundreds of recordings that we've done and i plan on listening to them everytime i get the chance. In some way or another, you've had a positive effect on everyone you've ever encountered. Through thick and thin we remained friends, and it shows something about your character.
I can remember good times that make me smile, one of those being how much i looked forward to going with Kris to pick you up in Richmond almost every weekend so we could all hang out. I would of happily done that even if it was twice as far away, because some of the best conversations we had were during those drives.

I am the person I am because of you. You understand things that I never will, and the people that truely know you feel the same way. We talk about you every hour benny.
Rest in Paradise my friend, I will see you again soon, and maybe for once I'l be able to beat you in a round of golf..
love ya benny, you will be remembered

Don & Wendy,
In the period of time when Ben was 15-16, we got to spend a lot of time around him, and we grew to care so much for this amazing, shy, handsome young man. We want you to know that we feel lucky to have had him as our friend, and we think that you two raised and amazing young man.

Flo: I know that this is a very difficult, sad time for you and your whole family. Even though I have 3 sons roughly Ben's age, I can only imagine how hard this is. Some day this will get a bit easier, but only a bit. Hold onto the good memories, and Ben will continue to be with you.
