Benjamin Yip, 91, passed away peacefully Feb. 16, 2018 surrounded by loving family.Ben graduated from Lick Wilmerding in 1945 and served in the US Army at the end of WWII. He enjoyed a fulfilling career as an electronics technician at McClellan AFB and the SF Presidio Nike Site, retiring as radar shop foreman. He then became a stationary engineer for City & County of SF and enjoyed problem solving for SFFD, SFUSD, and the Hall of Justice. In retirement, Ben enjoyed golf, travel, ballroom dance and modern technology.
Ben is survived by wife Alta, daughter Susan, grandsons Eric and Evan, brother Chusan "Sonny" (Elaine) and many nieces and nephews. Ben lived a long and happy life, and we will miss him always.
