Brian Gilbert Lamberts, age 87, of Bermuda Dunes, California passed away on December 17, 2024 after a long and distinguished life. Brian was a husband, a father, a grandfather and he will be forever loved and remembered by surviving family members especially by Nolly, "the love of his life" for 34 years.
Brian grew up in Manchester, NH, where he and his elder brother Richard, excelled in basketball and baseball. Brian eventually migrated to the West Coast, graduated from UCLA with a degree in political science. After giving University of Connecticut Law School a try he chose the Insurance Industry. He became a prominent and well known insurance underwriting executive on both coasts. He worked for several large firms. He spent the majority of his career in the Bay Area. He retired from Wexford Insurance Underwriters, a subsidiary of AON Corporation.
Brian and Nolly loved their vacations to the Caribbean, Italy and spent many happy days in the wine country with their Norcal friends. His loves were Jazz, the Warriors and 49ers, but politics "is the air I breathe." Golf was his obsession, lifestyle, and mental health. During sleepless nights "instead of counting sheep I replay memorable golf holes in my mind."
Brian was preceded by many dear friends, business associates, and golf buddies. We can only imagine that boisterous reunion "in a dark bar preferably with no windows."
For those of us left behind we will remember and celebrate a unique, even brilliant person. A loyal and caring friend who entertained and informed us with stories and opining all things political. Until we meet again.
