I am completely shocked to hear about Dr. Augustyn's death. I was so sad when I had to switch to Kaiser due to the change of my husband's job. She was the best doctor that I ever had. There was no doctor who would spend hours to talk to his/ her patients like she did. She will be missed and my condolences to her family.

You were a woman that always cared. You were a woman that always dared. You were a woman that was always fair. You were a woman, oh so… rare! You were a friend who would always bend. You were a gal that was always my pal. You were a wife that always gave life. You were a mother like no other. You were a woman that make a nest. You were a woman that passed all the tests. You were a woman that earned the rest. You were a woman that deserved the best. This is my love for you. Please do not be blue. You have joined the tried and true. We will forever look to you!

Dr Augustyn was my physician since the late 1990s. She came highly recommended from a friend of mine who was a nurse and had worked with her. I very much enjoyed my visits with her. She provided insights that really mattered to me. I am very sad and shocked as I just heard the news. I will very much miss her. She and her family are in my thoughts and prayers.

Dr. Augustyn was my internist for 19 yrs. She was the only doctor I have ever known. ;-( I started seeing her through college, marriage and the birth of my child. I was so shocked to hear of her passing as I just saw her a couple of months ago. I will truly miss her smile, kind words of wisdom and gentle nature. Rest in peace, Dr. Augustyn and my condolences to your family.

i just learned of Dr. Augustyn's death and am in shock. I was fortunate to have her as my internist for 15 years and never had anything but kind, thoughtful care from her. She always made time for some personal interaction, which a lot of doctors don't do. She loved travel and music and was an excellent pianist which she would not bring up(I learned this from her husband). Rest in peace, Caroline and my condolences to your family.

Dr. Augustyn was a true professional. She combined her clinical expertise with a gentle compassion that always made my husband and I feel we were well cared for. She always offered a warm blanket if she felt the office was too cold for us and assured us that she wanted to help us to stay nice and healthy so we could enjoy our little granddaughters( one is named Caroline!) for many more years of their lives. I will never forget these kind sentiments. She was a very special doctor.

Caroline:
Kind
Positive
A leader
Beloved
Friendly to all
Hard working
Sweet
I could go on and on
I remember Coco as being kind to everyone in high school
Even if you were not "cool", like me, a bookworm
She was so sweet and not stuck on herself even though she was in the "cool" crowd
She was friendly and welcoming and loving to everyone
Godspeed

To her parents and siblings and all, I am so sorry for the loss of this amazing woman in your lives. Back in the 70s at Lewis & Clark HS, she was truly "The Queen"...of whatever she was involved in, be it Girls' Fed, Ti-Girls, academics, anything. I looked up to her and truly had her on a pedestal. Her going in to medicine was a decision that was a blessed fit, from reading the other comments; what a gift to the world she was! I hope she and my sister Bonnie (Boo) are now enjoying practicing their lighted routines in heaven!

I am saddened to hear the passing of Dr. Augustyn. Finding a great dr. Is important to me and I was so happy to have selected with Dr. Augustyn. I was not aware of her cancer, which tells me now how much her patients meant to her. She always took the time to talk, ask me how my family was doing and never once gave any indication she was battling cancer. May god bless her and her family. Dr. Carolyn Augustyn may you Rest In Peace!!!!

I left Burlingame 13 years ago and one of the biggest losses was leaving Dr Augustyn. Every doctor I've seen since has been held to the her standard of professionalism and compassion. All have failed to reach her standard. She will be missed, deeply missed.

I feel so blessed to have grown up in Spokane and known Coco as a youngster. I have so many wonderful memories of her. Everything she did, she did with her special grace, enthusiasm, and focus.
Taking ski lessons with Coco on Mt. Spokane was such a joyous experience. I can still hear her warm laughter as we attempted to snowplow on the bunny hill, untangle our equipment and get it on the bus, and eat our favorite snack at the lodge. She was just the most delightful and amazing
person. Those rare qualities of warmth and an ability to connect to people were always there.
She not only touched many lives, she changed them for the better. She left this world a far better place by contributing so much to so many. In work or in life, you simply could not find a more inspiring or extraordinary person.

Dr. Augustyn has been our physician for many years. She helped my wife to survive breast cancer. She was a very devoted doctor who always took the time to talk with her patients - she wanted to know what was happening with our lives and seemed like a good friend- she was always so very friendly and caring. It is very rare these days to have a doctor that is so competent and nice. I knew about her struggle and I could tell when I saw her last that she wasn't feeling very well. She still put in the long hours and met the demanding challenges of a doctor until the very end. May God bless Carolyn Augustyn - we will miss her very much.

Dr. Augustyn was a physician in the truest sense in that she healed with the heart as much as with medicine. She was there for me for 23 years through difficult and happy times, always taking the time to listen well and love with an open heart. I will deeply miss her.
